Martinez Family
There is something unique about photographing an extended family session - it's a rare chance to see multiple generations come together all at once. Every time I step behind the camera for a session like this, I'm reminded how much joy there is in witnessing a family's legacy unfold right in front of me.
The Martinez family brought that joy in the most vibrant way. From the moment I arrived, they filled the space with a warm and loving energy. Siblings were teasing each other, kids were giving the sweetest hugs, grandparents were laughing. I got to capture not just how beautiful their family is (a definite bonus <3), but also the way it feels to be in their family.
There was a bit of a chill going on this particular day, and the wind had a mind of its own -- but you couldn't tell from the bright smiles and laughter that I witnessed the whole session. As we parted ways, I left with a familiar warmth: gratitude. Gratitude that they trusted me to document their story, gratitude for the way they embraced me into their family fun, and gratitude for the reminder that family is something worth celebrating and capturing to remember again and again.
